1) How do I make an appointment?
You can call (734) 206-2888 or fill out the contact form. Once we get the information we will call you in 24-48 hours to schedule an appointment.
2) Do I need to do anything before appointment?
Once you are scheduled, we will email you intake forms to fill out. If you don't feel comfortable filling out forms online we can mail paper form to you. If you rather fill the forms before appointment you will need to arrive 20 min earlier.
Your insurance eligibility will be checked and if you have not met deductible or have co insurance, payment for deductible amount, coinsurance amount or copay will be due at appointment time.
3) How long is the appointment?
Intake appointment is an hour long and follow ups are 20 minutes however some patient may require 30 min appointment.
4) Do I have to take medications if I see a Psychiatrist?
Not necessarily, once you are evaluated you will develop a treatment plan in collaboration with the Psychiatrist. Treatment plan may or may not need medications.
4) Do you have therapist at your office?
Not at this time however I share office space with group of experienced psychologist and we work closely together.
5) What if I can not attend an appointment?
Appointments need to be cancelled 24 hours in advance or you will be billed 50 dollars fee for follow up and 200 dollars for new appointment.
6) How frequently I will be seen after evaluation?
This is decided on individual basis. In general you may be seen once a month until improvement in symptoms. After that for maintenance of medications you may be seen 3-4 times a year.
7) How do I get refills?
You will need to call the office and refills will be send to your pharmacy once approved by the doctor. We use electronic prescribing for all medications.
Please give 48 hours and after requesting refill check with your pharmacy 24 hours later before requesting again.

8) How will I contact the doctor in between appointments?
You can call the office and leave a message. messages will be returned in 24-48 hours. We encourage patients to sign up for patient portal so email message can be send securely to the Psychiatrist.
9) Will you coordinate care with my other providers?
Yes absolutely! Its important to coordinate care with your Primary Care physician and therapist with your consent.
10) Do you speak other Languages?
Dr. Zubairi is fluent in Spanish, Urdu and Hindi.
