Most depression starts with medication and therapy. Some needs more.
TMS or SPRAVATO may be a fit if you

- — Are pregnant, postpartum, or planning a pregnancy
- — Are in active mania or psychosis

What to expect
What your first depression visit actually looks like.
No surprises. Here's how it works, from your first call to your treatment plan.
We learn your history
A clinician calls within 24 business hours. Have a list of every antidepressant you've tried, the dose, and how long you took it.
A full psychiatric evaluation
We review your symptoms, past treatments and medical history, and screen for conditions that look like depression, such as anxiety or bipolar disorder.
Measured, not guessed.
You complete the PHQ-9, a standard depression scale, so we have a clear baseline to track your progress against at every visit.
You leave with a clear next step
That may be starting or adjusting medication, a therapy referral, or, if you qualify, TMS therapy or SPRAVATO.
How depression care works, step by step.
Step 1 · Standard care

Continuity beats convenience.
Dr. Zubairi or your assigned NP follows your care from first evaluation through every treatment change, with the full picture of your history.

Common questions
Depression FAQs.
Depression lasts at least two weeks, shows up most of the day nearly every day, and affects your sleep, energy, focus and interest in things you used to enjoy. If you're not sure, a screening call is a good place to start.
Not always. Many patients contact us directly. Some insurance plans require a referral from your primary care doctor, and we'll confirm what yours needs during your screening call.
Most take 4 to 8 weeks at an effective dose to reach their full effect. Some people notice better sleep or energy within the first couple of weeks, before their mood fully lifts.
Don't stop it on your own. Talk to your prescriber about the dose, the timing, or a switch. If you've tried two or more antidepressants without enough relief, you may qualify for TMS or SPRAVATO.
Depression that hasn't improved enough after two or more antidepressant trials, each at an adequate dose and for an adequate length of time. It's common, it isn't your fault, and TMS and SPRAVATO are FDA-cleared and FDA-approved options for it.
No. Both are for adults whose depression hasn't responded to standard antidepressants. Most patients start with medication, therapy or both, and we'll tell you honestly which fits you.
We accept most major insurance plans, and coverage is confirmed on your screening call. TMS and SPRAVATO coverage usually requires documented past antidepressant trials, which we help you gather.
Yes. Many patients keep their own therapist while we manage the psychiatric and medication side of their care. With your permission, we coordinate with them.
